- Location data: approximate location to surface nearby users (only when you grant permission)

- Show you relevant profiles based on your preferences and location
- Facilitate matches and in-app messaging
- Send push notifications for matches and messages
- Improve the App and develop new features
- Enforce our Terms of Use and keep the community safe
3. Information You Share With Other Users
Your profile information (name, photos, gym, fitness goals, and bio) is visible to other users on Lift Catch. Messages you send are visible to the recipient. Do not share sensitive personal information such as your home address, financial information, or government ID with other users.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
Lift Catch uses third-party services to operate, including:
- Expo / Apple / Google — for push notification delivery
- Cloud infrastructure providers — for hosting and data storage
6. Location Information
We collect location data only when you grant permission. Location is used to find nearby users and can be managed through your device's app settings. We do not share your precise location with other users — only a general proximity (e.g., "2 miles away").
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of marketing communications

9. Children's Privacy
Lift Catch is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account.
